Sue kar mere manko

If you have watched Rang De Basanti, it is most likely that you have liked it and, you are haggling over the parallels of 1930s and 2000s and its climax with somebody else. A lot of newsprint and webspace will also taken up by this debate. But then it is not a bad thing, after all, debate is at the heart of democracy.

It is an excellent movie backed by extremely good performances, a tight script, and good music. The sepia tone frames of 1930s are seamlessly embedded with the present day narrative. And inspite of Aamir Khan starring in it, every character gets equal footage on screen.

You will remember for some time "Sue kar mere man ko kiya tune kya ishara" or "Yaar tune bataya nahi ise hindi aati hain" :-)

Comments:
Interestingly. I watched RDB and Dombivli Fast on two consecutive days. And there are quite a few parallels. You will understand what I am saying if you watch Dombivli Fast!

In both the movies, the protagonist ends up doing radical thing.

but yeah RDB is a good movie. I liked rubaroo and tu bin bataaye. amazing songs man!

Yes, I have read a lot about "Dombivli Fast" and want to watch it.

Is it a remake of some Hollywood movie ?

tmww: The protagonist in the Hindi movies has been always associated with radical things. It was Amol Palekar who tried to play a protagonist doing some non-radical things and was only successful for some time.
