From the other side of the world

It has been more than 96 hours since I arrived at LAX, by Lufthansa via Frankfurt. The clean streets of California are a nice change from the dust & heat of Pune. In these surroundings, you wonder why you are visiting here for work, and not just for relaxing.

Driving is a breeze here, no changing gears, just use the brake & accelerator. There is something called "Right of way", which means exactly that unlike in India. The 12-lane freeways can however be unnerving for somebody who doesn't usually drive beyond two lane roads.

After about 2/3 days of cold weather, it is a nice sunny day today. Hopefully, it should stay like that over the weekend. More later :-)

In the morning, there was a news report on TV about Stephen Hawking taking a zero gravity flight. It seemed quite an experience for the man who perhaps knows more about space-time, relativity etc. than any other living person, and is bound by the wheelchair because of Motor Neuron disease.
