Dec 1 : The dreaded disease day...
I just watched a story on NDTV (thankfully they haven't succumbed to
the bhoot/pret sensationalism like some other news channels) about a
kid who is HIV+. He got it from his parents who subsequently succumbed
to this disease. When his grandmother came to know about his status,
she threw him out of the house. He spent about 10 days on the doorstep
thinking his grandmother would take him back. But that never happened. He
finally ended in a orphanage.
The story completely numbed me. Irrespective of what you believe in,
destiny, karma or chance, the truth is that suffering exists, some caused
by nature herself, other inflicted by humans themselves.
